The Alto Adige Wine Consortium organized a webinar during which producers were able to speak directly with important stakeholders in the United States
Bolzano, Italy — (September 13, 2021) The Alto Adige Wine Summit 2021 was an innovative event, characterized by the dialogue created between producers and some of the most authoritative representatives of the wine world from the American market, who were unable to attend the event due to the pandemic.
The Consorzio Vini Alto Adige organized a digital seminar which created a moment of exchange between Alto Adige producers – who presented some of their most important wines – and buyers, journalists, wine influencers, wine experts and sommeliers from one of the most important foreign markets, the United States.
“The current context, and the relative limitations, have not stopped our desire to involve the most authoritative interlocutors of the American wine market in this event, which is so important for us,” says Eduard Bernhart, director of the Consorzio Vini Alto Adige. “America, in fact, represents a significant share of our exports, and for this reason it is our priority to consolidate relations and maintain an increasingly fruitful dialogue with our stakeholders.”
The digital hybrid event was held on Friday, September 10 at the Bolzano Fair. The event was moderated by Nancy Gilchrist, Master of Wine from London.
“A World of Contrasts” was the theme of the third edition of the Alto Adige Wine Summit 2021, the region’s most important wine event that paid tribute to the multitude of grape varieties, soils, and microclimates that make the wines of this magical region exclusive. The Summit was a journey through the labels of large and small wineries, and was an opportunity for guests to virtually experience the dream of historic castles, picturesque vineyards, and high-altitude lodges against the magnificent backdrop of the Dolomites.
