The first class since the pandemic will be about blending.
Stonewall, Texas – May 28, 2021 – Kuhlman Cellars is delighted to announce the return of its Vina Vita University wine education classes. The Vina Vita University “Barrel to Blend” wine blending class will take place on June 27, 2021 from 11 am – 1 pm. This installment of Kuhlman Cellars’ wine appreciation series, led by Kuhlman Cellars’ winemaker Bénédicte Rhyne, will teach the art and science of wine blending.
Students will examine how even small decisions in blending deliver great change. After learning wine blending theory, students will work as a team to try their own hand at the blending process to create their own red blend. The Class Champion blend will go head-to-head with the Kuhlman Cellars Staff Champion blend for the chance to become the new 2020 Vina Vita Club red wine to be released in 2022.
Class includes:
- Interactive discussion on wine blending
- Create your own team blend using Kuhlman Cellars 2020 Red Wines, including tasting each one for your blend considerations
- Each table of 6 will enjoy a large charcuterie plate
- Taste and vote on the Kuhlman Cellars Employee Blend Champion
- Exclusive tasting of the 2018 Vina Vita Club Blend
There are two ticket options: guests may purchase a table (six tickets) to enjoy the class as a blending team or guests may purchase individual tickets and will then be placed in a blending team.
