Alma Rosa Winery Welcomes Martha Sheldon as Central Coast Regional Manager

(May 6, 2021; Buellton, Calif.)— Alma Rosa Winery, a producer of premium wines from Santa Barbara County’s Sta. Rita Hills, has hired Martha Sheldon as Central Coast Regional Manager. Martha will manage direct sales in Santa Barbara County.

Sheldon comes to Alma Rosa following nearly six years with Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, most recently serving as a fine wine specialist and sales consultant for the Santa Barbara market. “We are incredibly excited to welcome Martha to the Alma Rosa team,” says General Manager Debra Eagle. “The Central Coast is Alma Rosa’s home base and will always remain one of our top priority markets. Martha’s proven sales experience, relationships and intimate knowledge of this region will be a tremendous asset to Alma Rosa.”

About Alma Rosa Winery

Alma Rosa Winery is dedicated to making Pinot Noir and Chardonnay wines that express the terroir of its unique appellation, the Sta. Rita Hills. Made by winemaker Samra Morris and consulting winemaker Tony Biagi since the 2018 vintage, Alma Rosa’s wines are layered, vibrant and balanced, reflecting the cool climate impact of the Pacific Ocean breezes which funnel through the unique east-west transverse mountain range of the region. The winery was founded in 2005 by Richard Sanford, who was the first to plant Pinot Noir in the Sta. Rita Hills in 1971. Today the winery is owned by Bob and Barb Zorich, who purchased the winery in 2014.
