Wente Vineyards Announces Partnership with Non-Profit Organization Kiss the Ground

Wente Vineyards is donating $0.25 of every bottle to the non-profit until August 2021

Wente Vineyards LogoLivermore Valley, CA – April 22, 2021 – Wente Vineyards is pleased to announce a new partnership with Kiss the Ground, a regenerative agriculture and education leader, to support the earth and mitigate climate change. This partnership supports Wente Vineyards’ commitment to sustainability and advocacy for creating a better world for future generations.

From now through August 2021, $0.25 of all bottles sold of Wente Vineyards wines will be donated to Kiss the Ground, up to a $30,000 donation. Both organizations will be promoting the partnership through social media and email communications. Additionally, Wente Vineyards will be highlighting the collaboration on their printed 100% recycled in-store materials nationwide. The money raised will go towards Kiss the Ground’s advocacy, educational programs, support farmers transitioning farmland to regenerative practices, as well as policy and equity initiatives.

“We are excited about this partnership and to support the vision, work, and educational programs of Kiss the Ground,” says fifth-generation winegrower and Senior Viticultural Manager Niki Wente. “The carbon sequestration and regeneration farming principles align with many of our practices at Wente Vineyards. We spend an inordinate amount of time caring about our soil and vineyards so that it can continue to produce high-quality wines for generations to come.”

Wente Vineyards has crafted wines and farmed land with sustainable practices at the forefront of all their efforts for 138 years, beginning with first-generation winegrower C.H. Wente. Earning one of the first California Certified Sustainable Vineyard and Winery classification in 2010, Wente Vineyards continues to implement new sustainable practices year over year.

Kiss the Ground is a 501(c)(3) non-profit on a mission to awaken people to the possibilities of regeneration and inspire participation in this movement through media, communications, education, workshops, immersive programming, and advocacy. The non-profit released a full-length documentary narrated by Woody Harrelson in the fall of 2020. Kiss the Ground shed light on regenerative agriculture and offered the world’s soils as a viable solution to our climate crisis. The film is currently available to stream on Netflix.

Recognizing the similar goals that both organizations are working towards, Wente Vineyards is exceptionally proud to partner with Kiss the Ground. Today, with the fourth and fifth generations, and the foundations of the generations before them, the Wente family strives to continuously improve and remain a leader in producing high-quality grapes and wine while reducing their environmental impact.
