Understanding Vineyard, Winery, Farm and Ranch Valuation and State of the Market with David Bolster, Century 21 Select Placerville

February 15th – Please join us on Wednesday, February 17, at 6:30pm, for a Zoom discussion on Understanding Vineyard, Winery, Farm and Ranch Valuation and the State of the Market with our special guest speaker David Bolster. David provides valuable insight on this topic due to his extensive background, knowledge and lifelong experience in the agricultural industry combined with nearly 20 years of real estate experience.

About this topic: Understanding and negotiating the path of multiple, complex variables is critical in making informed and appropriate decisions regarding buying, selling or investing in improving agricultural properties. These variables include: location, site suitability, regulatory and land use issues, market and industry trends, market potential, and business modeling.

Discussion includes: current state of the market; factors that drive value (location, structural improvements, vineyard characteristics, net income, and grape market); appraisers; recent winery market activity; and, who are the buyers: lifestyle or commercial. David will also touch upon future and new investment in El Dorado and Amador counties.

All grape growers, vintners, wineries and interested persons are invited to attend this Zoom meeting for a better understanding of what this means to growers, wineries and the industry at-large. Participants are encouraged to bring questions for David.

There is no cost to participate but registration is required to get the Zoom meeting login.

Invitation to contribute to EDWGGA’s new Instagram page

EDWGGA is pleased to announce the creation of our first Instagram page. This was made possible by our newest Board Member-at-Large, Audra Naumann. We invite you to participate by sending Audra photos of anything related to El Dorado County’s vineyards, wines, etc. Descriptions of your photos would be fantastic but not required. Descriptions include things like general location in the County, AVA, varietal, elevation. Have fun with this! Email your photos to audra@newfoundwines.com

HEADS UP! Grapes for sale notices to start-up soon!

Is your profile and varietal listing ready to go? Grape buyers and winemakers have already been thinking about their 2021 plan. Are you ready for them? The EDWGGA Board of Directors has decided to begin our grapes for sale eblasts earlier than normal to catch the early grape sale interest and activity.

EDWGGA’s 2020 list of grapes for sale has been swiped clean. Now is the time to go into your profile and make updates to your story and add photos, elevation, AVA, soil, clones, attributes, awards, winemaker quotes, etc. We know it’s early but if possible include your varietals’ estimated tonnage, growing conditions and any particular cultural practices that may be of interest. Unless you know your price per ton, put in INQUIRE.
