The Rombauer Family Donates $25K To The Gary Sinise Foundation
NAPA, CA (November 11, 2019) – In honor of Veterans Day, Rombauer Vineyards is donating $25,000 to the Gary Sinise Foundation as a tribute to all military veterans.
The Gary Sinise Foundation, established by actor and philanthropist Gary Sinise, supports our nation by honoring our defenders, veterans, first responders, their families and those in need. This foundation creates and supports unique programs designed to entertain, educate, inspire, strengthen and build communities among the veteran population.
Rombauer Vineyards has a long history of supporting military veterans, starting with winery founder, Koerner Rombauer. Koerner, a member of the California Air National Guard and commercial pilot, was a tireless champion for a number of veteran and aviation associations for several decades. Since Koerner’s passing in 2018, the Rombauer family has continued his legacy of philanthropic work to many non-profit organizations.
“Our Granddad was in love with this country. He had a real passion for the Stars and Stripes. His unwavering support for members of our armed forces and their families was core to his very being,” commented Reagan Blackwood, part of the Rombauer family 3rd generation. “This continues to be very personal to our family with my brother, Seth Blackwood, currently serving as Staff Sergeant in the US Air Force and spending this Veterans Day away from home on his third deployment,” she added.
In addition to this donation to the Gary Sinise Foundation in honor of Veterans Day, the Rombauer family are active in support of many well-deserving organizations including Napa Valley Farmworkers Foundation, 4H/FFA and North Bay Medical Group.
