Veteran Wine Writer Gerald D. Boyd Announces Launch of “Gerald D Boyd on Wine,” a Blog about Wine for the Neophyte and Seasoned Wine Lover

Former Editor of Wine Spectator, Wine & Spirits Buying Guide and Contributor to Decanter, Wine Enthusiast and San Francisco Chronicle enters the Blogosphere

July 23, 2019, Anacortes, Washington – “Gerald D Boyd On Wine” will focus solely on wine — no gossip, no politics, no wine trade issues — just wine. Each informative post will include a major wine topic, such as Beaujolais, Australian Shiraz and California Cabernet Sauvignon. Also included will be a list of recommended wine producers and a personal aside relating to the main topic, drawn from Boyd’s years of experience and those of friends and colleagues he has known over the years.

Boyd has been writing about wine since the late 1960s. He was editor of The Wine Spectator in the early years, editor of Wine & Spirits Buying Guide (renamed as Wine & Spirits Magazine) and has contributed to various national and international publications, including Decanter, Wine Enthusiast and San Francisco Chronicle. His byline last appeared in the Santa Rosa Press Democrat.

Since 1968, Boyd has judged at numerous international and national wine competitions and was a wine instructor in the Wine Studies program, Santa Rosa Junior College, California, from 2003 to 2016. Please contact Gerald a boydvino707@gmail.com. Unsolicited samples will be returned to sender.
