Trade seminar and tasting brings more than two dozen Lodi wineries to Appellation Wine & Roses on August 18

July 14, 2026 (Lodi, CA) — The Lodi Winegrape Commission and Lodi Winery Alliance will co-host the Lodi Wine Showcase, a trade seminar and tasting, on Tuesday, August 18, from 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. at Appellation Wine & Roses in Lodi. Designed for wine retailers, distributors, restaurants, sommeliers, hospitality professionals, and media, the event offers direct access to Lodi winemakers through an educational seminar and walk-around tasting.
The Showcase gives buyers a firsthand look at the quality and diversity of Lodi wines. A guided seminar provides context on the region’s vineyards, appellations and winemaking, followed by a walk-around tasting where attendees can meet the winemakers behind the wines. More than two dozen wineries will pour selections that reflect the region’s depth – from own-rooted ancient vines planted more than a century ago to distinctive varieties such as Albariño, Cinsaut, Kerner, and Picpoul Blanc – showcasing the remarkable diversity of the region’s more than 130 grape varieties.
“Lodi has always grown exceptional fruit, and today our winemakers are turning that fruit into wines that belong on the best shelves and wine lists in California,” says Stuart Spencer, Executive Director of the Lodi Winegrape Commission. “The strength of Lodi is that buyers can find wines with character, quality, and value across a wide range of styles and price points. That combination makes Lodi wines a compelling opportunity to bring into retail and hospitality programs.”
“Creating events like the Lodi Wine Showcase is central to the Alliance’s mission,” said Jeremy Trettevik, Chair of the Lodi Winery Alliance. “By bringing our wineries together with retailers, distributors, restaurant buyers and sommeliers, we’re helping open new markets for Lodi wines and building the relationships that translate into long-term sales growth.”
The Lodi Wine Showcase is free to attend for qualified members of the wine trade and media, but registration is required by August 7, 2026. The event will take place Tuesday, August 18, from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Appellation at Wine & Roses, 2505 W. Turner Road, Lodi, California. Retailers, distributors, restaurant buyers, sommeliers, hospitality professionals and wine media are invited to register at the Lodi Wine Showcase website.
