Both are available exclusively at Perry’s in Palm Springs and Provincetown.

June 23, 2026 (Palm Springs, CA) — Perry’s Fine Wines & Liquors Palm Springs, named the #1 Wine Shop in the USA in the USA Today 10Best Awards 2025, is proud to announce the launch of Two Hour Rule, a limited-release collection of wines available at its locations in both Palm Springs, California, and Provincetown, Massachusetts.
Inspired by the history of Palm Springs and created to celebrate those who shape our community today, one dollar from every bottle sold will benefit DAP Health, bringing together a sense of place, history, and purpose in every glass. The Two Hour Rule collection features a 2024 Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and a 2025 Sonoma County Colombard/Viognier blend.
Produced and bottled by Marchelle Wines in Sebastopol, California, the wines have been crafted with a beautiful balance of depth, complexity, and approachability, reflecting the sophisticated ease at the heart of the Palm Springs lifestyle. Each bottle sold will proudly support DAP Health’s mission to provide equitable, high-quality health care for all.
The Two Hour Rule name pays homage to a storied piece of Palm Springs history, and the city’s close links to Hollywood, which helped put Palm Springs on the map. In the mid-20th century, film studios required their stars to remain within two hours of Los Angeles during production, and Palm Springs, just close enough yet worlds away, became celebrities’ escape, a place to exhale and be themselves.
Thanks to the stars’ attraction to the stunning desert landscape, privacy, and freedom, a cultural icon was born that continues to attract visitors from around the world today. This cultural legacy is reflected in the vibrant, art-forward label design created by local designer Tom Dolle, which captures the spirit of freedom, creativity, and retreat that Palm Springs has long embodied.
“This launch brings together everything we care about — the joy of coming together with great wine, the celebration of the places we call home, and supporting those who make our communities better,” says Charlie Greener, co-owner of Perry’s with husband Billy Marshall. “Our homes of Provincetown and now Palm Springs share an extraordinary bond despite their distance: a sense of escapism, the pursuit of the good life, and a wink of mischief. This project celebrates that shared spirit while supporting the people and organizations that shape our community today; there is no better example of this than DAP Health.”
That bond between the coasts is deeply rooted. For decades, many have split their time between these two iconic destinations, spending winters in the sun-soaked desert of Palm Springs and summers along the shores of Provincetown. Both communities are known for their rich arts culture, LGBTQ+ history, and strong spirit of philanthropy, making this dual market launch especially fitting.
This is not Perry’s first foray into community-driven collaborations. “A central part of our mission is to help make the communities we operate in simply better places to live,” says Greener. The business has previously partnered with both the Palm Springs Art Museum and the Provincetown Art Association and Museum, creating custom wines that help celebrate and support the incredible arts scene in both locations. “We are delighted to unveil the Two Hour Rule collection, which continues this tradition, this time spotlighting the incredible work DAP Health does to advance health equity in our community, and celebrating their role in making Palm Springs the incredible place it is today.”
“Partnerships like this are powerful because they meet people where they are — around the table, in community, and in moments of connection,” says DAP Health CEO David Brinkman. “Every bottle sold helps us continue delivering compassionate, inclusive care to those who need it most.”
The wines will be available exclusively at Perry’s locations in Palm Springs and Provincetown, while supplies last. With each purchase, customers are invited to raise a glass not only to exceptional wine, but to the enduring connection between these two communities, and the shared commitment to making a difference.

About Marchelle Wines
Marchelle Wines is a California-based project, founded by longtime friends Greg La Follette and Kevin Lee, focused on crafting world-class expressive, site-driven wines rooted in both heritage and innovation.
La Follette is best known for his work revitalizing historic vineyards across California and beyond. With degrees in plant biology and chemistry, he began his career as an early AIDS researcher at the University of California San Francisco before earning his master’s degree in food science and technology at the University of California Davis. A protégé of Napa Valley pioneer André Tchelistcheff, La Follette has played a key role in shaping some of the state’s most respected vineyard sites and was instrumental in establishing Flowers Winery as a benchmark for coastal Pinot Noir.
For Two Hour Rule, La Follette enlisted winemaker Evan Damiano, who brings over 15 years of experience across California, Oregon, and Australia, working closely in both vineyard and cellar to craft wines that balance precision, character, and approachability. It was Damiano’s experience and talent that produced these exceptional wines. marchellewines.com
About the Artist
The label for Two Hour Rule was designed by artist Tom Dolle, whose work has helped shape the visual identity of Palm Springs. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design and longtime professor at Pratt Institute, Dolle is known for his modernist, graphic approach inspired by the city’s midcentury architecture and desert landscape. His work spans branding, signage, and visual identity for key cultural institutions and events across Palm Springs, including Modernism Week, Pride, and DAP Health.
For Two Hour Rule, his designs are simple, graphic, and rooted in modernism like most of his work, but have a deeper meaning under the surface. Palm Springs architecture is known for its indoor/outdoor transparency, with glass walls leading to pools and patios, reflected in the overlapping rectangles of the art. Colors in the desert pop; the bright yellows and pool aquas of the white wine label suggest the morning light, while the oranges and purples of the red wine label reflect the magical sunsets.
Having long moved between the two communities of Palm Springs and Provincetown, Dolle comes full circle with this project that celebrates his two “happy places.” dolledesign.com
