Jordan Vineyard & Winery Unveils Wildlife-Inspired Art Installation

“Four-Legged Friends” is the Iconic Winery’s Third-Annual Concrete Egg Art Installation in Collaboration with Ink Dwell, Spotlighting its Commitment to Sustainability, Biodiversity and Wildlife Preservation

Healdsburg, Calif. (April 1, 2025) – Jordan Vineyard & Winery, the renowned producer of elegant, European-inspired chardonnay and cabernet sauvignon wines in Sonoma County, is delighted to announce its 2025 art installation, Four-Legged Friends,by esteemed art studio, Ink Dwell. Crafted with soft pastel chalk and washable tempera paint across four of Jordan’s concrete egg fermenters – which are integral to the Jordan Chardonnay program – Ink Dwell’s beautifully detailed installation pays tribute to the winery’s four-legged creatures that roam and coexist across the expansive Jordan Estate.

Jordan’s estate spans 1,200 acres in the Alexander Valley, with more than 75% of the land preserved as wild, untouched habitat. Beyond its vineyards and olive groves, the estate is home to a diverse array of essential wildlife, including coyotes, birds, deer, fish, butterflies, bees and more. Now in its third year, Jordan’s annual art series celebrates these creatures through immersive artwork for winery visitors and members to experience firsthand. Four-Legged Friends debuts on the heels of last year’s Pollinator Pairings installation and Jordan’s inaugural honeybee artwork with The Good of the Hive in 2023. Each exhibit is designed to inspire appreciation for the wildlife that thrive amidst the property, reinforcing Jordan’s dedication to conservation, land stewardship and biodiversity.

Ink Dwell is a three-person team of artists led by founder and science illustrator, Jane Kim. Kim’s art is a testament to the boundless beauty of nature and the power of creativity, leading projects from the majestic Wall of Birds at The Cornell Lab of Ornithology to pieces for esteemed institutions like the National Aquarium and the de Young Museum.

“It is an honor to collaborate with Jordan, for the second consecutive year, to create Four-Legged Friends an art installation that represents Jordan’s spectacular ecosystem and its unwavering dedication to land stewardship,” said Kim. “My hope is for the work to create a deeper appreciation and broader conversation around environmental conservation.”

John Jordan, chief executive officer at Jordan Vineyard & Winery, commented, “As guests step onto our estate this spring and summer, they will undoubtedly be captivated by our new exhibit, Four-Legged Friends, a vibrant tribute to the wildlife that call our land home. Each year, our evolving art installations offer visitors a fresh way to experience Jordan, and this year’s showcase celebrates the rich biodiversity of our property while reinforcing our pledge to land stewardship. These works of art not only highlight our creative spirit but also reflect our dedication to protecting and honoring nature, wildlife and the communities around us.”

Jordan’s dedication to sustainability and stewardship extends beyond its physical estate. This year, the winery earned the prestigious 2025 California Green Medal Community Award, which recognized its commitment to environmental responsibility and its innovative practices that enhance relations with employees, neighbors and the greater community.

This spring and summer, visitors will have the opportunity to experience Four-Legged Friends during Jordan’s daily Winery Tour & Tasting. For more information or to book a tour or tasting experience, please visit www.jordanwinery.com, call 707-431-5250 or contact info@jordanwinery.com.
