(March 26, Arroyo Grande, CA) – Brian Talley, President and CEO of Talley Vineyards, along with his family, is pleased to celebrate the integration of his daughter, Elizabeth Talley, who has successfully served her first year in the family business as Sales & Marketing Manager. As a benchmark producer of estate grown Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and other cool-climate wines from California’s San Luis Obispo Coast AVA, Elizabeth’s role strengthens the family’s commitment to stewardship of their land and business sustainability for future generations.

“As a father, I’m proud to work alongside my daughter, who’s developing a great feel for the industry while bringing a vibrant sense of creativity that is necessary to appeal to future wine consumers,” says Brian Talley, whose family farms and produces wine across seven estate vineyards in the San Luis Obispo Coast AVA, including Arroyo

Grande Valley sites East Rincon, West Rincon, Las Ventanas, Monte Sereno, and Rosemary’s Vineyard, as well as Edna Valley sites Oliver’s Vineyard and Stone Corral.

Born in San Luis Obispo, CA, Elizabeth was raised among the vegetable fields and grapevines that provide the foundation which makes the Talley family one of the most prominent wine and agricultural families in California. Upon turning 12 years old, she followed the tradition of her father and grandfather, spending summer breaks working on the vegetable farm, further developing her deep appreciation for food’s connection to nourishment, community and farming practices.

A graduate of Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, with a degree in Agricultural Communications, Elizabeth gained insights into the intersection of farming, food systems, and marketing and communications. Following graduation in 2018, she gained valuable experience in the customer service world through an internship at Walt Disney World before pivoting to Constellation Brands and E&J Gallo Winery, where she deepened her understanding of the commercial aspects of the wine industry. After this industry experience, Elizabeth traveled to Italy and Spain where she earned a Master’s Degree in Brand Design and Management from the Istituto Europeo di Design, further solidifying the romance behind wine and the stories behind each bottle and each site.

During her first year at Talley, Elizabeth made numerous contributions to the winery’s trade engagement and customer relations, using her photography skills to capture the essence of Talley’s people, farming and winemaking. She has infused fresh energy into the winery’s social media, marketing and engagement with younger consumers, while honoring her family’s four generations in the field.

“I consider myself fortunate to have had the opportunity to work alongside my father and grandmother, Rosemary, and learn firsthand their commitment to quality, integrity and hard work,” says Elizabeth. “In my role I am able to pass along their vision as to how wineries and other businesses within the industry should treat both land and employees, while bringing a fresh perspective to connecting with new generations of wine lovers.”
