Enhancing the indoor and outdoor offerings, the Pinot Noir is a sensory journey through the vineyards and iconic winery specially designed to highlight the elegance of Pinot Noir. The Sunset Picnic, an opportunity to enjoy breathtaking sunsets amidst the rolling hills of Chianti Classico. These new proposals enrich the well-established hospitality experiences such as the Wine Safari and Collectors Experience.

With the arrival of the warm season, the winery expands its range of activities with the new Pinot Noir Experience, available year-round, and Sunset Picnic, bookable starting May 1.
The Pinot Noir Experience combines a walk through the vineyards and a journey through the Pinot Noir winemaking process. Guided by our knowledgeable team, you’ll gain a deeper understanding of Vallepicciola’s deep connection with the Pinot Noir: your adventure will culminate in an intimate tasting of five wines showcasing its many facets. Meanwhile, the Sunset Picnic invites guests to be enchanted by the sunset over the gentle Chianti Classico hills, a seamless blend of nature and flavour.
These wine tourism experiences are set within the prestigious Fontanelle Estate, the brand owned by the Bolfo family which brings together Vallepicciola winery and both the luxury The Club House 5*L and Hotel Le Fontanelle 5*. The estate’s gastronomic offerings further elevate the hospitality experience with Ristorante La Colonna, Osteria Il Tuscanico and the fine-dining Il Visibilio, holder of a Michelin star. Together, they establish Fontanelle Estate as a premier destination and a key reference point in the Chianti Classico region.
PINOT NOIR EXPERIENCE
A sensory journey that highlights the elegance of the renowned Pinot Noir. The experience begins with a stroll through the vineyards, followed by a visit to the state-of-the-art winery by architect Margherita Gozzi. The tour continues with a visit to the fermentation hall, barrel room and sparkling wine area, concluding with a tasting of five different Pinot Noir. From rosé to sparkling wines, each sip will unveil the unique character of this grape variety. This exclusive 2-hour experience is available by reservation only. Adults pay €80 per person.
SUNSET PICNIC
A perfect moment to share with a loved one or friends, reconnecting with nature while sipping a glass of wine as the sun sets over the Chianti Classico hills. The picnic includes a bottle of Vallepicciola wine and a basket filled with local delicacies, homemade bread and focaccia, salad, fresh fruit and vegetables, local cheese and seasonal treats. A 2-hour experience available by reservation only. Adults pay €65 per person. Starting May 1.

The winery has specifically tailored an exclusive Wine Safari to adventure enthusiasts’ needs. Guided by Jeep drivers, you’ll traverse the estate’s breathtaking landscapes, covering 275 hectares, including 107 hectares of vineyards and 4,000 olive trees.
