New hire strengthens the acclaimed Sonoma winery’s wholesale team amid continued national expansion
March 24, 2025 (Healdsburg, CA) — Aperture Cellars, the renowned winery in Sonoma County producing world-class Bordeaux varietals in California, is proud to announce the appointment of Callum Clarke as the brand’s new Western Regional Sales Manager. Clarke joins the winery at a pivotal time of growth and brings with him a decade of experience building high-performing wholesale programs across California and the broader western U.S.

“This is an incredibly exciting opportunity to join a winery that is pushing boundaries. Aperture’s wines are setting new standards for luxury in California. I look forward to our collective future vision of strengthening our partnerships in key western markets and beyond to share these extraordinary wines with the trade and collectors who appreciate the magic of what Jesse and the team are shaping for generations to come.” – Callum Clarke, Western Regional Sales Manager
Clarke most recently served as Western Regional Sales Manager at Adobe Road Winery, where he oversaw sales channels and distributor relationships across California, Washington, Oregon, and Arizona. His on-the-ground approach, deep distributor engagement, and ability to activate both on- and off-premise accounts helped drive brand momentum in competitive territories. Prior to Adobe Road, Clarke held multiple roles at Regal Wine Company, including Brand Ambassador and Key Account Manager, where he managed a high-volume portfolio and pioneered the company’s brand ambassador program across Southern California. His efforts in that role laid the groundwork for a new department focused on experiential engagement.
“Callum has a rare mix of strategic insight and on-the-field hustle. He understands the nuance of luxury wine sales and brings a wealth of experience that will be vital as we deepen our footprint across the western region.” – Jesse Katz, Founder and Winemaker of Aperture Cellars
Over his 11 years in the wine industry, Clarke has built a reputation for leading with authenticity and purpose—traits that align with Aperture’s mission and culture. In addition to his practical experience, he holds certifications from the Court of Master Sommeliers, Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET Level 2), and the Society of Wine Educators (CSW).
“Callum’s hire underscores our commitment to building a best-in-class sales team as we scale nationally. His energy, experience, and passion for the wine industry are a perfect fit for our next phase of growth.” – Lauren Wong, VP of Sales and Marketing for Aperture Cellars
