The signature event series raises funds for lifesaving cancer research

Napa, CA (March 17, 2025) — The 4th annual V Foundation for Cancer Research Sonoma Epicurean announced the addition of new wellness experiences for the upcoming event scheduled for March 27-30. Sonoma Epicurean, held in beautiful Sonoma County, is a signature event series focused on lifestyle and sustainability, including curated experiences with award-winning chefs, vintners and artisans. 100% of event proceeds benefit lifesaving cancer research through the V Foundation.
Sonoma Epicurean offers wellness-focused events throughout the weekend, from farm-to-table meals, immersive Epicurean Experiences, and a Cancer Research Symposium featuring V Foundation grantees and leaders in cancer research. The newest addition to the agenda is a special presentation on Friday, March 28, by Melissa Coulier and Melanie Samuels, co-founders of “Live Well Lead Well,” which provides education and inspiration on health-focused lifestyles and strategies.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the V Foundation Sonoma Epicurean event and connect with a community who is so passionate about advancing cancer research and improving patient lives,” said Melissa Coulier, co-founder of Live Well Lead Well. “My husband, Dave Coulier, was diagnosed with cancer last year, so our family has unfortunately had a front row seat to this disease, and we recognize the urgent need for new breakthroughs. We’re looking forward to joining forces with the V Foundation for this event dedicated to wellness and making progress toward a world without cancer.”
This presentation will be hosted at Silver Oak Cellars in Alexander Valley as part of the “Sustainable Wellness” experience. Guests will first learn about the sustainable practices and environmental stewardship of Silver Oak, followed by a three-course, wine-paired meal. During the meal, the Live Well Lead Well team will speak about nutrition, movement and mindset to promote health and healing. Coulier and Samuels have both been impacted by cancer in their own lives and are champions of the V Foundation’s mission.
“Cancer has deeply impacted my life. I lost my grandmother to this disease, and I’ll never forget the storm of emotions when my mom was diagnosed. It’s a battle no one should have to face alone,” said Melanie Samuels, Live Well Lead Well co-founder. “That’s why I admire the V Foundation – not just for their groundbreaking research, but for their unwavering mission to find cures and support families through the journey. Because in the fight against cancer, every discovery and every bit of hope matters.”
In addition to the Sustainable Wellness activity, Sonoma Epicurean offers a range of other options for attendees focused on health, lifestyle, community, and staying active. The full schedule of events can be viewed here.
The 4th annual Sonoma Epicurean is currently sold out of weekend passes, but seats are still available for Saturday’s activities, including the Wellness Breakfast, Research Symposium, and the evening Gala & Auction, hosted at the Montage Healdsburg. The Gala & Auction features a multi-course dinner and 20 exclusive auction packages procured just for this event.
