WALLA WALLA, WA (FEBRUARY 25, 2025) – VITAL Wines, the non-profit winery dedicated to improving equity in healthcare access for vineyard workers and their families, proudly announces the release of VITAL x Valdemar Estates 2024 Rosé (SRP: $25). This marks the third year of collaboration between VITAL and Valdemar Estates through VITAL’s Guest Winemaker Program, which launched in 2022.
At the heart of VITAL Wines lies a mission to support the vineyard workers who make every bottle of wine possible. Founded in 2016 by Ashley Trout, VITAL is dedicated to improving healthcare access for vineyard and winery workers through education, advocacy, and direct services. The non-profit winery operates on the belief that winemaking is a collective effort—each vintage is only possible because of the dedicated people working across the industry. Through community-driven initiatives, VITAL ensures that these essential workers receive the healthcare and support they need, bringing the cycle of care full circle within the wine industry. Net profits from the Vital x Valdemar Estates 2024 Rosé directly fund this mission.
Crafted by Devyani Gupta, head winemaker and viticulturist at Valdemar Estates, the 2024 Rosé blends 70% Sangiovese and 30% Mourvèdre, sourced from Seven Hills Vineyard. The fruit was whole-cluster pressed and fermented in stainless steel with gentle lees stirring. The addition of Sangiovese to this year’s blend has created a beautiful interplay of complex stone fruit and citrus notes, enhancing the textured, slightly herbaceous character of Mourvèdre, resulting in a fresh wine with a long, savory finish.
“The Valdemar partnership is one of our favorites. Winemaker Devyani Gupta just crushes this wine every single year,” commented Trout. “Proceeds from the sale of these bottles go to help improve access to healthcare for Vineyard workers and their families, a service needed now more than ever.”
“VITAL’s mission is essential to the long-term health and sustainability of the Walla Walla wine community, and we are honored to support it year after year,” said Gupta.
The VITAL x Valdemar Estates 2024 Rosé will be available this March to ‘Pour It Forward Advocate’ VITAL Wines Club members and to the public beginning April 4. It will be available exclusively at the VITAL tasting room and online for shipping to most states.
