Pinot in the City Brings 50 Wineries to Showcase Oregon’s Finest Pinot Noir and More
Portland, Ore. (February 24, 2025) – Oregon’s celebrated Willamette Valley wine country is making its debut in Atlanta! For the first time, the Willamette Valley Wineries Association (WVWA) will host its acclaimed Pinot in the City event in Georgia on Wednesday, April 23. This roadshow-style tasting experience will feature 50 of the Valley’s most renowned wineries, represented by winemakers and owners, offering wine enthusiasts and trade professionals the rare opportunity to experience the region’s wines—right in the heart of Atlanta.

Three tastings will be held at The Trolley Barn, a beautifully restored historic venue in Atlanta’s tree- lined Inman Park neighborhood. The lineup includes an exclusive trade-only tasting, a VIP consumer tasting with limited attendance for a more intimate experience, and a general consumer tasting, offer- ing wine lovers the chance to explore Willamette Valley wines in a vibrant and welcoming setting.
Since its inception, Pinot in the City has wowed sold-out audiences in cities like Denver, Chicago, Seattle, Houston, and Austin. “The magic of this event lies in the personal connections,” said Morgen McLaughlin, executive director of the WVWA. “Meeting the winemakers and hearing the stories behind every pour creates an experience that truly brings Willamette Valley to life— something that normally requires a trip to Oregon.”
A Showcase of Willamette Valley Excellence
Pinot in the City highlights the diversity and depth of the Willamette Valley’s wines, with its signa- ture Pinot noir taking center stage. Attendees will also enjoy other exceptional varieties, including Chardonnay, Pinot gris, Riesling, and more. The event offers a unique chance to meet trailblazing Willamette Valley pioneers, discover exciting new producers, and taste hard-to-find wines—many of which are not yet available in Georgia.
“Pinot in the City represents the evolution of Willamette Valley winemaking, featuring both legacy producers and emerging winemakers redefining the future of the region,” said Jesse Lange, second-generation winemak- er at Lange Estate, who will be pouring at the event. “Each vintage captures the essence of our terroir, telling a story that we’re excited to share with Atlanta wine lovers.”
