Durant Announces Winter Event Series

January and February events feature live music, culinary experiences and garden workshops

January 14, 2025 (Dayton, OR) – Durant, home to the Durant Vineyards Winery & Tasting Room and Oregon’s only commercial olive mill, announced new programming and activities for the winter months: the Durant at Dusk Series, Durant Breakfast Club Series and Garden Workshops. Each of these events offer visitors unique ways to experience the beauty and vibrancy of Oregon wine country during winter.

“Winter in Oregon wine country has its own unique magic,” said Durant owner Paul Durant. “These seasonal events are designed to bring people together in an intimate and cozy atmosphere — whether that means enjoying live music in our heated pavilion, sharing a memorable brunch, or crafting something beautiful in our hands-on garden workshops. Each offering reflects our commitment to curating experiences that are truly rooted in the landscape of the West.”

The Durant at Dusk Winter Series transforms the property’s heated pavilion into an intimate music venue, featuring performances by local artists including The Bylines, Curtis Reynolds, and Tanner Cundy. The first kickoff event will feature creative mocktails or cocktails from Spirit of Sage Mobile Bar, making the event inclusive for those participating in Dry January. Durant Vineyards wines will also be available for purchase by the glass and bottle as well as warm, hearty food prepared by Durant Culinary Directors, Eric Bartle and Sara Kundelius. Events are reservation-only with limited seating in a cozy setting complete with fireplace and heaters. Doors open at 5 pm, with each show beginning at 5:30 pm. Tickets are $10 for Durant Club Members (up to four guests), with general admission tickets being sold for $20. Shows are scheduled for January 17, January 31 and February 21.

The Durant Breakfast Club Series debuts with a special Valentine’s Brunch on Sunday, February 16 at 11 am. Also curated by Durant Culinary Directors Eric Bartle and Sara Kundelius, the festive brunch features a scratch-made meal using the finest locally sourced ingredients, locally roasted coffee, Smith Teas, fresh orange juice, and carefully selected Durant wines, including Durant’s signature bubbles. Reservations are available for $75 per person, and the series will be hosted in the Durant Olive Mill event space.

The Garden Workshops will take place in the Durant Olive Mill throughout January and February, garden enthusiasts can choose from four hands-on workshops. Options include creating terrariums with curated plant materials, learning how to mount a Staghorn fern onto a grape wood base sourced from Durant’s vineyards, and building a decorative bird feeder using natural materials such as berries, branches, dried fruit and nuts:

  • Terrarium Workshop: Saturday, January 18 at 11 am ($95).
  • Terrarium Refresh Workshop: Saturday, January 18 at 2 pm ($55). For guests who have attended a previous Terrarium workshop and bring their original glass vessel.
