Fredericksburg, Texas, November 25th 2024 – The Texas Wine Auction Foundation (TWAF) is thrilled to announce the success of its fundraising efforts at this year’s Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival (FFWF), held last month. Thanks to the incredible generosity of participating wineries and the support of the 2000+ attendees, TWAF raised an impressive $43,375 to benefit mental health, education, and sustainability initiatives in the Texas Hill Country and beyond.
Recognizing Top Contributors This year, over 30 wineries generously donated unique and rare library wines from their collections. Attendees at the Fredericksburg Food and Wine Festival had the exclusive opportunity to taste these exceptional wines, showcasing the very best Texas has to offer. Guests then participated in a lively auction, bidding on these extraordinary cases, which resulted in competitive bids and remarkable contributions to the Texas Wine Auction Foundation.
Chris Brundrett, Co-founder of the Texas Wine Auction Foundation, captured the spirit of the event perfectly: “Bringing together amazing people and incredible wine brands to showcase the best of what Texas has to offer, alongside some of the most remarkable culinary innovations in the state, was a dream come true. Hosting it in our hometown of Fredericksburg made it all the more special.”
Leading the contributions were William Chris Vineyards $4,885 and Uplift Vineyard $4,820, which raised the highest amounts. William Chris Vineyards featured their 2017 Hunter Magnum, while Uplift Vineyard showcased their 2022 Montepulciano in stunning decanters, adding a touch of elegance to the experience.
Other standout contributors included:
Alexander Vineyards – $2,000
Arrowhead Creek Vineyards – $1,660
Becker Vineyards – $1,650
Lost Draw Wines– $1,590
Formando Vineyards – $1,560
