London, United Kingdom (November 20, 2024) – Created by the industry, for the industry, The 2024 Golden Vines® Report (formerly known as The Gérard Basset Global Fine Wine Report) is now available for free download at https://liquidicons.com/report

A record number of fine wine and rare spirit professionals participated in this year’s Report Survey: 1,200 from over 100 countries, with the results independently verified by Deloitte LLP. 68 Masters of Wine, 29 Master Sommeliers, 160 Advanced Sommeliers, 48 ASI Diploma and 301 DipWSET qualification holders took part in the survey. Additionally, 397 Sommeliers distributors, 121 experienced collectors, 91 estate representatives (principally vignerons), and 36 auction house professionals contributed to the survey.
The survey determined the winners of eight 2024 Golden Vines® Awards Winners. Vega Sicilia from Spain won the Robb Report Golden Vines® World’s Best Fine Wine Producer Award. Europe was won by Burgundy’s Domaine de la Romanée-Conti, the Americas by Napa Valley’s Harlan Estate, and the 67 Pall Mall Golden Vines® Rest of the World Award by Henschke in South Australia. The Sadie Family Wines of South Africa became an All-Star producer, having won the Opul Jets Golden Vines® World’s Best Rising Star Award for the third time in a row. The Barca-Velha Golden Vines® Innovation Award Winner was Familia Torres from Spain. Jasper Morris MW won the coveted Hall of Fame Award. Finally, The Golden Vines® World’s Best Rare Spirit Brand Award was won by The Macallan for the second year running.
The Report provides detailed responses to various questions regarding the fine wine and – for the first time in The Golden Vines® Report – rare spirit sectors. These include performance expectations for the year ahead, which were generally viewed positively principally on the basis of expected rising demand, as well as greater knowledge and experience of fine wine drinkers. Piedmont and Champagne are the two regions that respondents view with the most upside potential for the year ahead, whereas, in contrast, Bordeaux and Burgundy are viewed as having the most downside potential.
The Report gives a complete list of the 1,200 survey respondents by name, qualification, sector, country and organisation.
