November 4th, 2024 – The United Sommeliers Foundation, a 501c(3) organization dedicated to providing emergency financial assistance to wine professionals, has launched their wine auction presented Zachys. The auction is open for bidding until November 17th, 2024.
“We are so honored to host this auction for the third time since our foundation’s inception in 2020. I do not have enough words to express my gratitude for the wineries, companies, and individual collectors who are helping us continue our mission to strengthen and support the sommelier community through our emergency grant program. I am looking forward to a successful auction and know these funds will go to support the most vulnerable in our industry. We could not do this without the support of our auction partner Zachys, who we are excited to be with again.” Says President & Co-Founder Cristie Norman.
Charles Antin, Head of Auction Sales comments, “Zachys is delighted to use our platform to support the USF’s mission once again. Not only is it a critical one for our colleagues in the wine world, the lots are pretty great too!”
This auction features an incredible array of lots from some of the most collected wineries in the world. The auction includes numerous large format wines, this auction contains over 50 lots of cellar-worthy big bottles. There are also a number of experiential lots that feature tastings at private wineries, restaurants and access to hard-to-get-on wine lists from some of the best producers in the world.
The Foundation is currently awarding victims of Hurricane Helene & Hurricane Milton with over $50,000 currently granted.
