Fredricksburg, TX (November 1, 2024) – The Fredericksburg Food & Wine Festival delivered big this past weekend, with first-ever pop-ups, celebrity chef showings, sold out festival features, and over $43,000 raised to support the mental health and wellness of wine and hospitality workers in the Hill Country through their partnership with Texas Wine Auction. Altogether, the festival provided access to over 75 local food and beverage purveyors – 45+ wineries, breweries and distilleries and nearly 30 of Texas’ most seasoned hospitality experts paired intentionally around the festival and on its demo stages – all of which are visible on the Festival’s Instagram page.
This Year’s event showcased both brand new and beloved experiences with booming success, from Festival Features like Burgers, Bourbon & barbecue, Health Sparkling Garden, Signor Vineyards’ Joanna’s Market, Fischer & Wieser Waterfront Brunch and the Augusta Vin VIP lounge, to inventive culinary demonstration stages hosted by award-winning chefs, and it’s sold out street dinner.

Friday night’s historic street dinner brought a first-of-its-kind culinary experience to Fredericksburg with a sold-out affair including nearly 180 guests who enjoyed an unforgettable multi-course meal curated by Hill Country’s top beverage and culinary talent. With the collaborative support from the likes of Hill & Vine, Dietz Distillery, Health Sparkling, Otto’s German Bistro, Michael Ros Winery, Hill Country Herb Garden, Augusta Vin, Revel Kitchen+Catering, William Chris, ALbert Hotel and Garrison Brothers, the dinner embodied the spirit of the region’s hospitality and culinary ingenuity. Each participating brand brought something unique to the table, transforming downtown Fredericksburg into an immersive and dreamyy dining experience that highlighted the best of local ingredients and expert craftsmanship.
After Friday night’s inaugural kickoff, Saturday kicked off with yoga, wine and bites from Vino Vinyasa and Hye Thai, a Waterfront Brunch at the scenic Fischer & Wieser Das Peach Haus, and a family-friendly event with OroBianco Italian Creamery and Peeler Farms. The grand tasting welcomed over 2,000 visitors who enjoyed tastings from over 85 wineries, distilleries and culinary artisan from across the region. The festival also featured the highly anticipated Texas Wine Auction, which raised an impressive $43,000 to benefit Hill Country;s wine and hospitality industry, including wellness and mental health programs, sustainability initiatives, educational opportunities and more.
The culinary demonstration stages were standout attractions, showcasing a unique lineup of celebrity chefs. Dai Due’s Jesse Griffiths captivated audiences with his live butchering demonstration, breaking down an entire wild boar, while chefs Michael Fojtasek and Justin Spencer, of the highly anticipated Junebug’s, showcased award-winning dishes that reinforced their accolades, which include “18th Best Brisket in the World” and “Best Chicken Wings at Memphis in May.”
