Boisset Collection

St. Helena, CA – October 29, 2024 — Boisset Collection has acquired Le Grand Courtâge French Sparkling Wine, the accessible French luxury that radiates brightness, joy and the best of French tradition united with the American spirit. A Blanc de Blancs Brut and Brut Rosé sourced from some of the best regions of France and produced at Boisset’s leading sparkling winery in Nuits-St.-Georges in Burgundy, Le Grand Courtâge celebrates affordable joy. At its peak, Le Grand Courtâge sold more than 50,000 cases in the US alone.

“The founding vision of Le Grand Courtâge has always been to cultivate community and connection and to bring people together through food and wine, and the effervescence of bubbles as they signify celebration. This has long been Boisset’s vision as well, where we believe wine unites us,” said Jean-Charles Boisset, Proprietor of the Boisset Collection. “Our passion is bringing people together thanks to wine, and we are thrilled to embrace that same spirit in Le Grand Courtage.”

Le Grand Courtâge was founded by an American woman, Tawnya Falkner, who moved to Burgundy, France to create sparkling wines intended to elevate the everyday and remind people to live joyously and celebrate life’s simple pleasures. Meaning the great courtship, Le Grand Courtâge symbolizes that je ne sais quoi which can exist in all of life’s moments; it exists to remind us to ‘embrace life, dream big and accept all invitations’.

It achieved success in the US market through its aspirational story, traditional French elegance, celebratory marketing and female-led marketing. Female-founded, the winery has always supported female-centric charities and causes. Numerous 90+ point accolades and Best Buy rankings speak to the commitment to quality present in every bottle.

Boisset is the leading producer of sparkling wine in Burgundy, France and was the renowned winemaker behind Le Grand Courtâge since its inception. Boisset is the leading importer of Crémant de Bourgogne, led by JCB by Jean-Charles Boisset and Louis Bouillot, and a leading importer of French sparkling wine led by its winery Charles de Fere.

Le Grand Courtâge is represented in the US by Opici Wines & Spirits.
