Oceanside to Host Inaugural O’wineside Mexican Wine Festival

October 15, 2024 – Oceanside, CA — On October 22, 2024, Oceanside will debut the O’wineside Mexican Wine Festival, a landmark event celebrating the rising prominence of premium Mexican wines in the U.S. market. Taking place on the scenic Pacific Lawn of the Mission Pacific Beach Resort, this festival will showcase the finest wines from across Mexico, paired with exceptional culinary experiences crafted by MICHELIN-starred Chef Roberto Alcocer of Valle restaurant.

Organized in collaboration with La Competencia Imports, the event starts with an exclusive Trade Hour, dedicated to wine industry professionals. This segment will allow sommeliers, buyers, and restaurateurs to explore wines ideal for curated wine lists in bars, restaurants, and wine shops. The festival will open to the public after the trade session with a Grand Tasting from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM. Attendees will have the unique chance to sample over 80 premium wines from more than 25 of Mexico’s top wineries. Chef Alcocer will curate an array of gourmet delicacies, including Sterling Caviar, 5 Jotas Jamón Ibérico, and Baja Oysters from the renowned Harbor Pelican Fish Market.

The O’wineside Mexican Wine Festival not only underscores the rich and diverse culture of Mexican winemaking but also positions Oceanside as a key destination for culinary and wine tourism. Visit Oceanside, the city’s official tourism organization will be present with a booth offering information on local attractions and upcoming events.
