Star Wine List Celebrates the Top Wine Lists in Ireland – Here Are the Finalists

On October 15, the international wine guide Star Wine List will celebrate the best wine lists of Ireland for the second time, at SommiT in Waterford. The expert jury has now decided the finalists.

September 19, 2024 — Star Wine List of the Year is a celebration of the great wine lists across the world and the teams behind them. In Ireland, prizes are awarded in nine categories, and the winners will also qualify for the International Final in June 2025. The jury, including top sommelier Reeze Choi and local expert Julie Dupouy-Young, has now finished deliberating, and the finalists have been selected. 

“The quality and diversity of the Irish wine lists are impressive across the range. We are happy to see strong finalists from across Ireland in the final and can’t wait to celebrate with the sommeliers soon again,” says Krister Bengtsson, founder and publisher of Star Wine List.

The jury for the Star Wine List of the Year Ireland 2024 includes three top international wine experts: 
Julie Dupouy-Young, several times named the Best Sommelier of Ireland
Valeria Gamper, Best Sommelier of the Americas 2022 
Reeze Choi, third-best Sommelier of the World 2023
