Chicago, Illinois. September 19th, 2024 – Wein-Bauer is excited to announce Felipe Stahlschmidt as the new Head Winemaker at Bodega Renacer on their behalf. Felipe holds degrees from the National University of Cuyo in Agronomy and a Masters in Enology & Viticulture. With an impressive career building expertise and passion at top wineries such as Catena Zapata, Pascual Toso, Los Toneles, and Alto Almanzora, Filipe brings with him a wealth of experience to Bodega Renacer. He has gained experience managing both winemaking and vineyard teams, and is involved with viticultural projects in the Uco Valley. His unique set of skills mark the start of a new chapter at Bodega Renacer: one focused on the pursuit of excellence.
With his wide-ranged experience across Argentina and Spain, Felipe is well aligned with the goals and brand of Bodega Renacer. The wine estate, founded by Patricio Reich in collaboration with the legendary winemaker Alberto Antonini, is focused on producing wines expressive of the full potential of South America’s unique terroirs. Renacer’s own 35 hectares of Malbec are located in Perdriel, Mendoza. They also source grapes from other renowned areas within Mendoza, such as the Uco Valley, Lujan de Cuyo, and Medrano. The goal is to express the diversity of each region’s terroirs.
Overall, Felipe’s arrival at Renacer is a continuation of their commitment to excellence and innovation.
