Paris, 13th September 2024 – The Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges has named iDealwine as auctioneer for its annual charity auction, which next takes place on Sunday 9th March 2025 at Château du Clos de Vougeot in Burgundy. World leader in online wine auctions, iDealwine is primed to fulfil the Hospices’ ambition to bring the auction to a global audience.
Founded in 2000, iDealwine is France’s number one wine auctioneer and is the world leader online wine auctions. The online-only auction house is trusted by 650,000 wine lovers in over 60 countries for buying and selling wine. In France, iDealwine has offices in Paris, Beaune, and Bordeaux, and internationally in Hong Kong, Singapore and the United States. In addition to the rare wines for sale at auction, iDealwine also has a vast selection of wine available at a fixed price. This selection is continuously growing, with wines sourced directly from a network of over 900 partner wineries and a range of old vintages bought from private cellars.
Guillaume Koch, Director of the Hospices Civils de Beaune (the organising body of both the Hospices de Nuits and the Hospices de Beaune), said ‘We are very pleased to partner with iDealwine, which is so well-known for online wine auctions in France and around the world. It is our ambition to grow the Hospices de Nuits-Saint- Georges’ reputation and iDealwine’s application really stood out to us. As the annual charity auction attracts an ever-increasing number of visitors and results to match, we can continue to showcase the estate’s wines, and the work carried out by the Hospices Civils de Beaune.’
The Hospices Civils de Beaune would like to thank Hugues Cortot of Cortot & Associés for his hard work over the past five years, for the successive records broken at the Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges, both for the Cuvée des Bienfaiteurs and at the auction as a whole.
Cyrille Jomand, licenced auctioneer and CEO of iDealwine, added ‘iDealwine is honoured to join forces with the Hospices de Nuits-Saint-Georges to host such a major event in the fine wine calendar. We have a particular affinity for the fine wines of Burgundy – that’s what led us to opening an office in Beaune – and we have been avid followers of this charity auction for many years. This is an incredible opportunity for iDealwine to showcase its expertise not only in wine auctions but also in digital marketing deployed on a global scale. Using the latest technology and everything in our digital toolbox, we will build on the growing reputation of the Hospices de Nuits, with the intention of bringing this auction to wine lovers and collectors in the four corners of the globe.’
