September 5, 2024 (SONOMA, CA) – Three Fat Guys Wines is thrilled to announce a successful harvest at the Sonoma Valley High School’s Sauvignon Blanc vineyard, managed in partnership with the school’s Agriculture Department and Viticulture Program. This vineyard, one of the few high school vineyards and viticulture programs in the region, represents a unique collaboration between the winery and the school, holding deep personal significance for many team members who are proud Sonoma High alumni.
The harvest took place on August 30th at 6:30 am, with Sonoma High students leading the charge, assisted by the dedicated teams from Three Fat Guys, school teachers, the Sonoma Sunrise Rotary Club, and members of the Sonoma Valley FFA and 4-H clubs. A special shoutout goes to Pat Stornetta, whose invaluable expertise and management have been crucial to the vineyard’s success.
The plan is for Three Fat Guys to produce a standalone wine under a unique brand for Sonoma Valley High School, with 100% of the proceeds directly benefiting Sonoma High’s Ag Business and Viticulture programs. This initiative showcases the hard work and dedication of Sonoma Valley’s youth and their commitment to agriculture and viticulture education.
Three Fat Guys Wines is proud to support the next generation of winemakers and strengthen community bonds through this meaningful partnership.
