A rich and diversified auction: a unique experience for connoisseurs

Planned and run as a prestigious dinner, the online auction week kicks off on Monday September 16 with Wine O’Clock #82 – a focus on Champagne wines, with some 260 carefully selected lots, comprising champagnes from leading houses as well as smaller producers. Highlights include impressive formats such as Louis Roederer’s Cristal in 300 cl and 600 cl, and the limited-edition Cristal 2002 Orfèvre in 300 cl. The collection also includes exclusive Dom Pérignon editions, including Lady Gaga, Lenny Kravitz and the 1998 P2.

Champagne enthusiasts will be delighted by the presence of rare cuvées such as Deutz’s Mathusalem d’Amour 2005, magnums from 2009 and 1999, not to mention legendary cuvées from the house of Krug, including Clos d’Ambonnay 1998 and Clos du Mesnil 2004. Smaller producers such as Agrapart, Savart, Chartogne Taillet, and Suenens will also be represented, offering a variety of captivating champagnes, including a wide selection of 130 different bottles from the house of Savart.

The second part of the day on 16 September will be devoted to Bordeaux treasures: an exceptional selection of the top five Grands Crus Classés, a must for all great wine enthusiasts: Lafite Rothschild, Mouton Rothschild, Latour, Margaux, and Haut-Brion. Over a hundred bottles, magnums and double-magnums from 80s, 90s and 2000s’ vintages will be auctioned, allowing wine lovers to savor the unique characteristics of these emblematic wines from Pauillac, Margaux and Pessac. The journey continues on the right bank, between Pomerol and Saint-Émilion, with a prestigious collection that includes 13 vintages of the famous Pétrus, presented in bottles and magnums.

Wednesday 18 September:

Wine O’Clock #84 Auction Week More French wines – kicks off with the Loire, offering 84 lots in both white and red. The famous Dagueneau and Clos Rougeard wines already account for some sixty lots in formats ranging from bottle to jeroboam. Ten other estates are in the spotlight, followed by Rhône Valley wines. Rostaing, Guigal, Jamet, Jean-Louis Chave, Jaboulet, Pierre Gonon, Henri Bonneau, Beaucastel, Clos des Papes… Thinking back to the end of summer – the south: Provence, Languedoc and finally Corsica, Domaine Tempier, La Grange des Pères, Gaubi, Pibarnon, Vaccelli and Tarra di Sognu.

Thursday 19 September:

Wine O’Clock #85 Auction Week Wines of The World: a selection of wines from the world’s finest wine-growing regions “outside France”. Devoted mainly to Italian wines from Tuscany and Piedmont in various formats, not forgetting a number of excellent Sicilian red wines. Followed by American wines: from Harlan Estate to Sine Qua Non or Kistler. Spanish wines included those of Bodegas Vega Sicilia and Dominio de Pingus; while Australian wines such as Bass Phillip or the great wines of Penfold’s and Henschke were also naturally present.

And ending off on a high note…

Friday 20 September:

Wine O’Clock #86 Auction Week Spirits

The combination of cigars and spirits is a true art, creating a symphony of flavors. Every cigar, such as a Cohiba or a Partagás, harmonizes with a specific spirit: a peated scotch for the Cohiba, or an Islay single malt for the Partagás. Caribbean rums pair well with spicy cigars from the Dominican Republic or Nicaragua, while cognacs or armagnacs complement Nicaraguan cigars. Tequilas, such as Clase Azul, go well with robust cigars, while mezcals pair well with spicy cigars. Fans of delicate, racy sensations will find plenty to fuel their interest in this unique selection of spirits.
