Brännland Iscider releases the 2023 vintage of Brännland Apple Ice, a lighter sweet apple ice wine that is quickly expanding its place in the company’s portfolio
August 29, 2024 – Brännland Apple Ice is the fourth vintage to be released of the single variety apple ice wine. This year’s Apple Ice is light and stringent establishing once and for all that a light ice cider can be both sophisticated and easy going. Brännland Apple Ice has grown and perhaps, grown up.
“This year’s Apple Ice was a joy to blend. The fast ferments gave the wine a new dimension without any adverse side effects. The 2023 is both lighter and at the same time, sports more of a backbone than previous bottlings. The residual sugar is low in all the blends this year, yet the sensoric sweetness is very prominent, heavy even, regardless of the technical levels and so we made sure in blending that we favored those wines where acidity was as clearly formulated as the sugar.”
Andreas Sundgren, founder Brännland Iscider.
