Los Angeles, CA, July 8, 2024 – Nomadica, the first brand to put fine wine in cans, boxes and kegs, is pleased to announce the appointment of Jessica Kogan to its Board of Directors. Kogan, a well-respected e-commerce pioneer and marketer, will bring extensive brand-building expertise to Nomadica after having led digital and brand transformations at companies ranging from Giorgio Armani and Donna Karan to Urban Decay and Razorfish.
“We are thrilled to welcome Jessica to the Nomadica team,” said Kristin Olszewski, Founder and CEO of Nomadica. “Her strategic insights and proven track record in building strong consumer brands will be invaluable as we continue our six-year journey to enhance our market presence and leadership team.”
Before joining Nomadica, Kogan co-founded and launched the digital native company Cameron Hughes Wine. In 2017 she joined the team of Vintage Wine Estates with their acquisition of Cameron Hughes, serving as their Chief Digital Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. Under her direct leadership, direct-to-consumer sales tripled from $30 million to just over $90 million. Kogan also led the development of a competitive omnichannel strategy that brought brands beyond brick-and-mortar retail through direct-to-consumer and e-grocery.
Nomadica has gained recognition for its premium canned wines sourced from top vineyards and crafted by skilled winemakers. The company’s dedication to quality, innovation and sustainability has resonated with a younger audience seeking convenience without compromising on taste and has pushed the wine industry to rethink the role that convenient, eco-conscious packaging plays in moving us all toward a more sustainable future.
“I am honored to join Nomadica during this transformative step,” said Kogan. “Nomadica has redefined the canned wine market with its commitment to quality, sustainability, and accessibility. As the digital shelf emerges as a key driver of retail success, I look forward to collaborating with the board and management team to further elevate the brand and deliver exceptional value to consumers.”
Kogan joins other Board Members including Kern Schireson (Lunch Partners) and Brian Rosen (InvestBev), underscoring Nomadica’s commitment to strengthening its leadership team and advancing its mission to redefine how consumers experience and enjoy wine.
Kogan and former VWE President Terry Wheatley are also successfully paving the way for women in the traditionally male-dominated wine world through the formation of Connect The Dots Collective, an all-female brand innovation agency offering an exclusive integrated approach to marketing, sales, public relations, new product development, e-commerce and digital innovation for legacy and new proprietary wine, non-alcohol, adaptogenic, and CBD/THC beverage brands.
