Iconic Family-Owned Napa Estate Winery Taps Veteran Wine Executive.
(Napa, Calif.)— July 2, 2024 – Trefethen Family Vineyards, one of Napa’s pioneering family-owned estate wineries, today announced that Tony Baldini, a leading wine industry executive, has joined the Oak Knoll winery as President. In his new role, Baldini will partner with third-generation vintners and Executive Vice Presidents of the family board, Hailey and Lorenzo Trefethen, to shepherd the legacy winery into its sixth decade.
“I’ve been a champion for Trefethen for years and am proud and humbled to join the team. The brand has more than 50 years of quality, with estate vineyards and family at its core. Trefethen has led the way for Napa Valley wines, and I’m delighted to lead it forward,” stated Baldini. “I grew up in the Oak Knoll District and then had the great fortune to work in other winegrowing areas, including Sonoma and the Central Coast, as well as luxury sub-AVAs of Napa Valley. Joining Trefethen is coming home, both professionally and personally.”
Most recently, Baldini served as President and COO for Cliff Lede Vineyards. While there, he worked with the Lede family to usher the Stags Leap District-based winery into its third decade by refocusing investment on their Napa Valley estate vineyards and refreshing their portfolio of distributed wines. He has also served as President and CEO of Hahn Family Wines and held leadership and marketing positions at other wine companies. Baldini earned a BA in Economics from the University of California, Davis, and an MBA from the University of California, Berkeley, Haas School of Business.
