Librandi “Flag Bearer” of Calabrian Wine at the 2024 Olympics

Segno Librandi Cirò Rosato selected by ‘Casa Italia’ among wines to celebrate the Paris Olympics

Cirò Marina (Crotone), July 1st 2024 – With pride and enthusiasm, the Librandi winery
announces the selection of its “Segno Librandi Cirò Rosato DOC 2023” among the exceptional wines representing our country at Casa Italia during the Paris 2024 Olympics.

“It is a great honor,” the Librandi family announces, “to see our Cirò Rosato become part of the most representative labels of Italian enology selected for this prestigious occasion. This is indeed a unique opportunity to further showcase to athletes, fans, and guests the richness of Italy’s vineyards and celebrate the values of sport and Italian tradition.”

The selection was curated by Ensemble, the hospitality house of the Olympics, led by renowned chef Davide Oldani and the team from LT Wine & Food Advisory, with the support of industry experts such as Luciano Ferraro from Corriere della Sera. This year, Casa Italia will not only be a meeting place for athletes and guests but a true stage where the Italian wine tradition will be celebrated on the occasion of its 40th anniversary, as noted by Giovanni Malagò, president of CONI. The context is further enriched by the fact that Casa Italia will be located at Le Prè Catelan, where Baron Pierre de Coubertin toasted the birth of the modern-era Olympic Games.

“Through our wine, we will proudly represent our Calabria,” concludes the Librandi family, “once again demonstrating how our region can excel internationally in the wine sector.”
