The event, which funds the majority of Jameson Humane’s annual operating costs, raised $1.1 million dollars, $200,000 of which was for the Fund-A-Need, going towards Jameson’s ongoing programs and services. Such services and programs include community wellness clinics, access to affordable veterinary care, dentals for companion animals, grants for low-income and unhoused communities and their animals, and care for the resident sanctuary animals. Thousands of animals will benefit.

The 11th Annual WineaPAWlooza took place on the evening of Friday, June 21 at the scenic Burgess Cellars estate in Napa where guests sampled a curated portfolio of wines from the Lawrence Wine Estates collection including Burgess Cellars, Heitz Vineyard, Stony Hill, Ink Grade, and Haynes Vineyard. Lured by the sweet sounds of jazz vocalist, Jacqui Naylor, wine connoisseurs and animal lovers alike gathered under the auction tent where the live auction began with inspiring and energetic art in action. Artist Amy Burkman enthusiastically painted an image upside down and while dancing, before she revealed the image of a cow, which was apropos to kick off the fundraiser – all for the animals. Guests indulged in fine plant-based cuisine created by Chef Daniel Gomez-Sanchez formerly of The French Laundry, Cyrus, and La Toque.

The live auction included 18 spectacular lots, featuring cult wines, one-of-a-kind experiences, and trips to global wine destinations, led by celebrity wine auctioneer and personality, Fritz Hatton. With each bid, attendees demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the sanctuary’s cause, as well as their appreciation for Napa Valley’s exceptional wines. The highest live lots included a super rare, inaugural vintage 1992 Screaming Eagle Cabernet 3L, from the cellar of and signed by Founder Jeanie Phillips, selling for $125,000 and 30 seats at the Dr. Crane Buy-A-Spot Dinner at the newly opened Arrow&Branch Winery with Napa Valley Winegrower and Vintner/Winemaker A – Listers, which sold for $150,000.

The Grand Tasting and Concert with local beloved rock band, WRISTROCKET, was held on Saturday, June 22 at the iconic Raymond Vineyards with owner /host, Jean Charles Boisset in attendance. The Grand Tasting and Wine Auction featured an exceptional selection of renowned and rare wines generously donated by 60+ distinguished vintners and wineries throughout Napa Valley and Sonoma (Participating Vintners here).  Cuisine for the evening included a fully plant-based menu designed and executed by Deborah Blum of Goatlandia Kitchen, a premiere plant-based, organic catering service and restaurant in Sebastopol, CA, as well as Chef Tamearra Dyson of Souley Vegan based in Martinez, Brook & Terri Penquite of Nova Terra Kitchen & Creamery in Calistoga, and Adam Green of Ollie’s Artisan Baking Co. in Napa.
