June 13th – PALISADE, COLO — The Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology (CAVE), is excited to announce a special new opportunity for aspiring and home winemakers. Crafted for past or future participants of CAVE’s Amateur Winemaker Competition, the Amateur Winemaker Workshop is a two-day event that offers an in-depth understanding of the winemaking process, techniques, and troubleshooting methods. Workshop participants can engage in hands-on learning sessions, wine tastings, and network with industry professionals and fellow wine enthusiasts.
The first Amateur Winemaker Workshop will take place July 20th & 21st, 2024 at the CMU Tech Education Center in Grand Junction, CO. Event highlights include:
- In-Depth Sessions: Explore the science and art behind winemaking, from fermentation to sensory analysis.
- Hands-On Learning: Participate in practical sessions that allow you to apply winemaking techniques under expert guidance.
- Troubleshooting Tips: Learn how to identify and resolve common winemaking challenges.
- Networking Opportunities: Connect with fellow winemakers and industry experts to share experiences and insights.
“We are excited to be able to provide this new opportunity to individuals interested in learning more about the art of winemaking,” said Cassidee Shull, CAVE Executive Director. “Registration for the workshop is $75 for CAVE members and $100 for non-members. Space for the workshop is limited so we encourage interested participants to sign up no later than July 15th.”
