6/13/2024 – Rolling Hills, CA – Castle Rock Winery is proud to announce they have been awarded their second Double Gold Medal and Best of Class 95 points for their 2022 Reserve Russian River Pinot Noir from the prestigious Orange County (OC) Fair and Commercial Wine Competition. This comes two weeks after this same wine received a 96-point score and Double Gold Medal at the Sunset International Wine Competition. Castle Rock Winery owner, Greg Popovich, stated, “So far this year, as far as super ratings and wine competition awards, we’re hitting it out of the park! Our winemaker, Meghan Daniels Rech, has taken the quality of our wines to a whole other level. For instance, our 2023 Monterey County Rosé of Pinot Noir just received a 91-point score Best Value from the Wine Enthusiast, a 90-point score from James Suckling, a Gold Medal 96 points from the California State Fair Wine Comp, 88 points Best Value from the Wine Spectator, a 91-point Gold Medal from the Sunset International Wine Comp, and a Gold Medal 90 points from the Monterey International Wine Comp. And that’s just one of our wines. I’m proud to say, I could go on and on. In today’s highly competitive environment, it’s imperative to differentiate your wine brand by not only having higher quality than your competitors, but in our case, we have the added advantage of lower prices as well.”
