Santa Rosa, CA – (June 12, 2024) – Balletto Vineyards, celebrated for its estate-grown and bottled wines in Sonoma County’s famed Russian River Valley, is pleased to announce the appointment of Herb Rowland as their new Associate Viticulturist.
Herb joins the Balletto family with his own rich heritage in viticulture and an impressive background in vineyard management. Born and raised in Novato, CA, Herb was immersed in the world of viticulture from a young age, growing up on a small family-owned vineyard.
His passion for the industry led him to pursue a degree in Viticulture from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. Since then, Herb has honed his skills by working in vineyards across seven different coastal counties in California, gaining a wealth of experience and knowledge.
Herb’s roots run deep; his family still resides on the oldest continuously operated agricultural property in California, spanning over 180 years! This legacy of land stewardship profoundly influences Herb’s approach to viticulture making him an invaluable addition to the Balletto team.
