Kenefick Ranch Announces Release of 2023 Sauvignon Blanc

Family-Owned Calistoga Winery Welcomes Summer with 2023 Vintage Release

Calistoga, Calif. – (June 12, 2024) –  Kenefick Ranch, a family owned and operated vineyard located in Napa Valley’s northernmost American Viticultural Area (AVA) – Calistoga, today announced the release of its 2023 Sauvignon Blanc. Adding to the vineyard’s estate grown white wine collection, the crisp white is the ideal selection heading into the warmer summer months. The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc retails for $30 and can be purchased by the bottle or case.

The microclimate in Calistoga in 2023 was nearly perfect. A wet winter and a mild growing season delayed the start of the harvest significantly. With no heat pressure to accelerate ripeness, Kenefick Ranch achieved uniform hangtime and grape maturity resulting in beautifully integrated acidity, exuding citrus notes in the aromatics, along with focused lychee elements and the typical melon nuances of Sauvignon Blanc.

“Our Sauvignon Blanc defines our dedication to crafting exceptional wines,” said Chris Kenefick, CEO, and second-generation proprietor of Kenefick Ranch. “At Kenefick Ranch, family is at the heart of everything we do. Our newest vintage is crafted with the goal of sharing it with those we cherish most, celebrating moments together over a glass of wine.”

Pairing perfectly with summer dishes such as grilled shrimp, fresh oysters, and mixed green salads, Kenefick Ranch Sauvignon Blanc is the ideal wine for warm-weather dining. Its crisp acidity and vibrant citrus notes make it a versatile choice for any summer menu. About Kenefick Ranch

Kenefick Ranch is a family-owned vineyard located in Calistoga, CA. The vineyard was founded when Dr. Tom Kenefick, a practicing neurosurgeon in San Francisco, first visited – and fell in love with – the Napa Valley. In 1980, he purchased a 250-acre ranch located in the region’s northernmost American Viticultural Area (AVA) – Calistoga, where half the land is planted with grapevines. In 2002, Dr. Kenefick retired from neurosurgery and Kenefick Ranch began producing and selling its own portfolio of award-winning wines. Today, Kenefick Ranch sells its own label, and 90 percent of its grapes to such prestigious labels as Caymus Vineyards, Cade Estate Winery, Eisele Vineyard, and Nickel + Nickel. Kenefick Ranch boasts a dynamic wine club, giving oenophiles and novices alike access to an array of benefits including discounts, first notifications of limited releases, invitations to private events, complimentary tastings, vineyard tours, and incentive savings on shipments and anniversary gifts.
