Tri-Valley Conservancy Announces Search for Next Executive Director

Livermore, CA, June 03, 2024 — Tri-Valley Conservancy seeks a strategic, visionary Executive Director to advance the organization’s land conservation, advocacy, and support work.

This is an opportunity for an accomplished leader with a deep commitment to the local landscape and community to lead the Conservancy into its next chapter.

“We are excited to bring on a new leader who will move the needle to ensure that the region’s open space, vineyards, and character are preserved and continue to thrive,” says Mark Triska, Tri-Valley Conservancy board president and chair of the search committee.

Tri-Valley Conservancy is an accredited nonprofit land trust protecting and advocating for open space and agricultural land in Livermore Valley and beyond. Its strategic initiatives focus on land conservation, advocacy, promoting access to open space, and supporting local agriculture.

TVC holds conservation easements to preserve and steward critical land in perpetuity and to safeguard urban growth boundaries. It promotes agricultural sustainability and ensures a thriving wine region by offering research, resources, and industry support to local winegrowers and winemakers.

TVC advocates for policy proposals and ballot initiatives that benefit conservation and local agriculture. It supports infrastructure projects that help people access and enjoy the region’s wine country and open space. Its Discovery: Youth in Nature program connects the next generation with the outdoors.

TVC is a lean organization with a strong, engaged Board of Directors and small, dedicated staff to support its mission.

The incoming Executive Director will be integral to the strategic direction and execution of Tri-Valley Conservancy’s mission,” says Triska. “The ideal candidate must be a collaborative leader with a passion for conservation, connection with the community, and the intangible, unquantifiable value of open space and the local wine industry. They must be a bridge builder between diverse constituencies and a diplomatic liaison to our local government entities.”

Information about the position and how to apply can be found by visiting potrerogroup.com/tri-valley. Compensation is competitive and periodic remote work is possible.

Interested candidates should apply by June 17, 2024, for priority consideration. To share recommendations or for additional information, please contact Jena Kuznik, Senior Consultant, Potrero Group, at jkuznik@potrerogroup.com
