Patrick Bruel and Nicolas Jaboulet Launch Leos ‘Cuvée Augusta’ White, the Perfect ‘Ménage à Trois’ of Grenache, Roussanne and Clairette

L’Isle sur la Sorgue, May, 2024 – Following the release of the first vintage of LEOS ‘Cuvée Augusta’ Organic Rosé last year, Domaine de Léos has now launched its new wine, LEOS ‘Cuvée Augusta’ White 2023.

The brainchild of Nicolas Jaboulet (Maison & Domaines Les Alexandrins) and Patrick Bruel (Domaine de LEOS), LEOS White 2023 reflects their shared pursuit of excellence around a shared taste for fine wines. Their passion for the terroirs and grape varieties of the Rhône region have enabled them to create this exceptional organic white wine in the Isle-sur-la-Sorgue region.

The perfect ‘ménage à trois’ of three grape varieties – Grenache, Roussanne and Clairette – for an organic white wine

The ideal blend of three grape varieties emblematic of the great white wines of southern France – Grenache, Roussanne and Clairette – gives a unique dimension to this nectar. Each brings its own authenticity and uniqueness, giving LEOS White that perfect balance between floral and citrus aromas, opulence and delicacy. It’s a wine of great elegance, destined for lovers of refined Mediterranean white wines.

A tasting revelation

LEOS White 2023 reveals a superb golden color with golden highlights, brilliant and limpid. Fresh and delicate, the nose offers a magnificent floral bouquet, with notes of white flowers subtly blended with ripe citrus aromas such as yuzu and blood orange. Opulent, rich and powerful, the palate offers a lovely fleshy texture and reveals delicious citrus notes, with a subtle hint of brioche, a sign of barrel ageing. A long, elegant finish, with aromas of white flowers such as lily and orange blossom.
