FIOL Prosecco Adds Sparkle to Monsieur Touton Portfolio

New York, NY, April 24, 2024 – Monsieur Touton Selections has added FIOL (FEE-yol) Prosecco to its steadily expanding portfolio of luxury Italian wines.

FIOL Prosecco Extra Dry NV in 750 ml and 1.5 L formats retails for approximately $19 and $39 apiece. Vintage-dated FIOL Prosecco DOC Rosé, bottled in a 750 ml format only, retails for approximately $22.

FIOL Proseccos are newly available through Monsieur Touton in 15 East Coast states: CT, DC, DE, FL, MA, MD, ME, NC, NH, NJ, NY, PA, RI, VA, and VT, plus TX and Southern CA, with AL, GA and SC on the way. Top restaurant accounts include Felice, Verŏnika, and SONA in New York City, The Charles and Sister in Dallas, and the newly opened Fontainebleau Hotel in Las Vegas.

Elegance and balance lie at the heart of FIOL Prosecco Extra Dry and Rosé, each a modern interpretation of an older style Prosecco, Perlage is typically smoother and more subtle, yet also more long-lasting — a genre designed to appeal to lovers of bubbles and still wines alike. Food-versatile FIOL Proseccos work equally well served solo or in cocktails and include the merest hint of sweetness necessary to balance the bitter notes in Aperol or Campari when making a spritz.

Behind FIOL are childhood friends Gian Luca Passi and Giovanni Ciani Bassetti, whose families have lived and farmed in the Prosecco heartland of Treviso for generations. Renowned enologist, and “winemaker’s winemaker,” Marzio Pol consults; thus quality is assured. The founding duo’s deep roots in the Treviso community (Passi’s family owns the beautiful Villa Tiepoli Passi estate, with the Ciani Bassetti family estate nearby) enables access to a selection of fruit from as many as 2,300 local growers , accounting for around 6,000 hectares (upward of 14,800 acres) of vineyards and terroirs, to achieve the perfect blend.

To expand on- and off-premise presence in the U.S., FIOL has embarked on a yearlong collaboration with celebrity mixologist and cocktail influencer Kevin Kos, who enjoys an active following of 154,000 fans on You Tube. A dedicated brand ambassador, New York-based Luca Puracchio, has recently joined the team.

Fiol,” traditionally meaning “son” in the Venetian dialect, is these days more commonly understood to denote a natural leader, or a friend within a group who happens to stand out.
