Women for Winesense Presents “Advancing Your Career: Strategies & Tools for Standing Out in Today’s Market,” Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at Trefethen

NAPA / SONOMA, CALIFORNIA |April 17, 2024:  On Tuesday, April 23, 2024, the Napa | Sonoma chapter of Women For WineSense (WWS) will host a workshop “Advancing Your Career: Strategies & Tools for Standing Out in Today’s Market.”  The expert speakers are Julia Holian and Liz Helton of Career Transformation Partners. Each are highly experienced across multiple industries, and specialize in strategic and tactical ways to excel in personal branding and accelerate career advancement, both in your current role or if you’re looking to significantly advance. 

The event will be held in two formats, generously hosted onsite at Napa Valley’s historical and acclaimed Trefethen Family Vineyards from 3:00 – 5:30 p.m. PT which includes a networking reception with wine tasting, and also available through a Zoom livestream of the speakers’ presentation with interactive Q&A from 4:00 – 5:30 p.m. PT.  Trefethen is located at 1160 Oak Knoll Avenue, Napa, CA.

ABOUT THE EVENT:   

All pre-registered WWS members and non-member professional guests, women and men, are warmly welcomeEarly arrivals at Trefethen will meet at 3:00 p.m. to enjoy networking with peers and the speakers while sampling an assortment of limited production Trefethen Estate wines.  At 4:00 p.m., the program and Zoom livestream will begin.  A lively question and answer session from onsite and the livestream attendees will follow the presentation.  

Julia Holian noted “attendees will get the latest career information and effective strategies to present their professional brand with the latest high impact trends and tools.”  Discussion topics will be tailored for senior level leaders, and managers looking for the latest insights in professional branding and career advancement practices.   

Ms. Holian continued, “Do you know the difference between you Brand Statement and your Brand Value Proposition? Locking down these two concepts could make the difference in how you are seen and the opportunities that come your way. We’ll explore the 7 elements of a strong personal brand and how to use them to advance your career. We’ll talk about how LinkedIn can be a strong power-partner in your career and how that differs from your resume, and we’ll share easy-to-implement strategies for building and leveraging your network to maintain the health of your personal brand.”

Liz Helton also noted, “This session will include exercises that we’ll have you do in real-time, and hand-outs that you can take with you to stay on track. We’ll also raffle off three opportunities to work one-on-one with us: A Resume Review, LinkedIn Review, or a free coaching session.”

WWS President, Julie Lumgair, remarked, “It’s a fantastic way to learn what’s new and working best in a fast-changing tech environment from an esteemed pair of experts beyond the wine industry, plus get significant benefits of candid discussion and multiple resources to take away and use immediately.”

This event is open in person to active WWS members and qualified non-member guests that are confirmed through the WWS registration website or by email with the Chapter President.  Please pre-register early for onsite spaces, and no later than 5 p.m., Monday, April 22, 2024 at this link for both zoom and onsite attendance. Professional active WWS chapter members have priority for onsite spaces and attend for free. Guests are warmly welcomed and may attend for a nominal fee either onsite or via Zoom.

Both onsite and virtual registered attendees will receive a private livestream link.  Attendees onsite at Trefethen are asked to bring a bottle or two of wine to share as a thank you to our hosts and speaker.
