A Historic Auction Organised in Collaboration with Baghera/Wines on the Château Grounds Vintages Dating from 1887 to 2023
Saint-Julien, 11 April 2024 – Announced earlier this season, the auction entitled: “1887 – 2023, Dear Pebbles – The unprecedented collection from the cellars of Château Ducru-Beaucaillou” will be held in the cellars on the Château Ducru-Beaucaillou estate in Saint-Julien – Médoc, on Sunday 23 June 2024. Following the great Bordeaux primeurs and already one of the key events on the region’s 2024 calendar, the auction will bring together 60 vintages spanning some 140 years of wine production. A new selection of rarities is being showcased for the occasion, underlining the importance of the event and the quality of the bottles on offer at this historic auction that is unprecedented in the region.
FOCUSING ON AN EXCEPTIONAL SELECTION OF THE WORLD’S MOST COVETED WINES
Among the many treasures on offer in this auction are two of the most remarkable old vintages, notably those of 1945 and 1961. This exceptional event offers a comprehensive selection of the great classic Bordeaux vintages, as well as winegrowing gems from the 19th and 20th centuries, including the 1928 and 1929 vintages. The greatest successes of the century are fully represented, offering a perfect picture of emblematic vintages celebrating the Médoc and Château Ducru-Beaucaillou regions. Finally, to mark the “Borie” era, vintages from 2003 to 2023 will also be highlighted.
