April 8th – On 8 April, Star Wine List celebrated the great wine lists in Sweden. The Grand Prix was won by restaurant Bord in Stockholm, which also won Best Short List.
“This is probably the greatest collection of wine lists I have ever seen,” said Jury member Rajat Parr about the Swedish wine lists in the competition.
Star Wine List of the Year is the celebration of the great wine lists around the world and the teams behind them. In Sweden, the prizes were awarded in 14 categories, and the winners in each category got a Gold Star and several also qualified for the international final in June.
“This year was all about breaking records: We had a record number of entries, a record number of finalists and a record number of categories. We are very happy to highlight the incredible quality of wine lists and sommelier teams around Sweden,” said Krister Bengtsson, founder and publisher.
The Sweden event was held at Skyddsrummet in Stockholm with more than 150 sommeliers and guests in attendance.
