Three-Day Wine, Culinary and Educational Event Continues to Raise Critical Funds and Awareness for the Alzheimer’s Association

YOUNTVILLE, Calif. (March 6, 2024) – Wine industry expert Kerrin Laz, founder and proprietor of K. LAZ WINE COLLECTION, announced today that the fifth annual Inspire Napa Valley fundraiser will take place May 3 through 5. In partnership with the Alzheimer’s Association, the three-day event in the heart of Napa Valley brings together wine connoisseurs and industry leaders to raise funds and awareness to advance Alzheimer’s and dementia research and enhance care and support services for impacted families. Since 2017, Inspire Napa Valley events have raised more than $6 million for the Alzheimer’s Association’s care, support, and research programs.

“The incredible generosity of my family, friends and fellow winemakers is a testament to our shared commitment to one day live in a world without Alzheimer’s disease,” said Inspire Napa Valley founder Kerrin Laz. “Because of their kindness, we are helping move the needle – in honor of my mother and millions of others – in Alzheimer’s and dementia research while supporting people and their families who are struggling with the disease.”

Alongside Honorary Committee members, including executive wine editor of Food & Wine Ray Isle, Vinous Founder Antonio Galloni, and Bryant Wines proprietor Bettina Bryant, Laz and Inspire Napa Valley will offer guests a unique opportunity to mingle with Napa Valley’s top vintners and winemakers. The weekend’s list of events includes:

  • Friday, May 3: The weekend will kick off with an intimate, one-of-a-kind evening featuring a phenomenal VIP Welcome Dinner paired with wines from some of the most revered wineries in Napa Valley.
  • Saturday, May 4 (morning): The weekend will continue with a VIP Alzheimer’s Research Update & Wine Seminar at Round Pond Estate. Following the Alzheimer’s research update by Alzheimer’s Association Chief Science Officer Dr. Maria Carrillo, a group of distinguished panelists will discuss a hand-picked lineup of compelling wines chosen for the sit-down wine tasting seminar.
  • Saturday, May 4 (evening): The Main Event will commence with a walk-around wine tasting at Beaulieu Garden featuring 30 of the most exclusive wineries in California with culinary stations prepared by top Napa chefs. The evening will continue with a seated dinner and conclude with Inspire Napa Valley’s signature live auction and paddle raise.

More than 6 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s and in California alone there are more than 690,000 people aged 65 and older with the disease. Additionally, more than 11 million people serve as Alzheimer’s caregivers, including more than 1.3 million Californians providing unpaid care to a loved one with the as-yet incurable disease.

All-inclusive VIP tickets to attend the events are $5,000 per person. Individual tickets to Saturday evening’s main wine tasting, dinner and auction are available for $1,000. For more information and to purchase tickets, visit inspirenapavalley.org.
