Southern Glazer’s Served Up Podcast Tackles Hot Topics & Triumphs in Hospitality Industry

February 28, 2024 – In 2020, Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits (SGWS) created the Served Up podcast, co-hosted by two industry veterans and beverage experts, Bridget Albert, and Julie Milroy, to help disseminate information quickly to a hospitality industry trying to figure out how to get back on its feet during the pandemic.

The timing of the podcast came as much bigger conversations were happening within the hospitality industry about rights, fairness, and equity. They quickly moved to center their storytelling around the voices of women, people of color and the LGBTQIA+ community on their podcast, giving those working inside the hospitality industry a platform to share their own inspiring stories in their own words while providing plenty of food for thought.

Celebrating its 200th episode this year, the Served Up podcast by SGWS has continued to record inspiring conversations of radical change with celebrities, thought leaders and those in the beverage community wanting to build back better.

In celebration of Women’s History Month in March, we highlight our two Served Up co-hosts as our experts who work for Southern Glazer’s, the world’s preeminent distributor of beverage alcohol and recently recognized as one of America’s Greatest Workplaces for Diversity 2024 by Newsweek.

They are available for interviews on topics such as:

Bridget has over 20+ years of hospitality and brand building experience, in addition to co-hosting the Southern Glazer’s Served Up Podcast, ranked among the top 5% of all global podcasts. Bridget is also a Beverage Expert Contributor to the White House Historical Association, celebrated author of two top cocktail books, a James Beard Awards Top Mixologist in the Nation Honoree, Tales of the Cocktail Worldwide Mentor of the Year Top Contender, and winner of the United States Bartenders Guild (USBG) Lifetime Achievement Award.

An influential business growth strategist, DEI activist and Served Up podcast co-host, Julie has over 15 years of experience in the beverage alcohol industry. In her role as Vice President Supplier Development Marketing at Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits, Julie is responsible for the overall direction of the sales and marketing strategy and execution of wine and spirit brands across the country, as well as a certified Sommelier with the Court of Master Sommeliers, Level 2 Wine & Spirits, WSET and Level 3 Sake, WSET. As a proud Korean American, she is also passionate about supporting the AAPI & marginalized communities and empowering women in their career journey.
