Clos de la Tech Partners with R & R Wine Marketing to Sell and Distribute the Winery’s Pinot Noir Portfolio in Southern California

February 20th – WOODSIDE, CA – Clos de la Tech announced it has partnered with R & R Wine Marketing to oversee sales and distributions of the winery’s exclusive Pinot Noirs to premium buyers in Southern California. 

Winery President Vito Gambini said Rob and Danielle Rubin of R & R Wine Marketing have shown great success in working with Southern California buyers of limited production wines. 

“The Clos de la Tech portfolio of estate-grown Pinot Noir wines is in great hands with the Rubins and their savvy sales team,” Vito said. “R & R Wine Marketing has established relationships with the most prestigious wine buyers in Southern California.” 

R & R began offering the Clos de la Tech portfolio of wines this month, and the business team already is preparing to celebrate the partnership with special events. 

“I am looking forward to working with Rob and Danielle to create among the most noteworthy wine tastings and presentations in the marketplace,” Vito said. He added that the R & R collaboration achieves another of the strategic goals he set in early 2023 when he became president and initiated plans to expand sales, develop new products and explore export markets.  

Clos de la Tech is dedicated to growing Pinot Noir exclusively on three vineyard sites — two in the Santa Cruz Mountains and one in nearby Woodside. As a limited production winery, Clos de la Tech produces about 3,000 cases of wine a year. 

T.J. Rodgers, known widely for his founding and long-term leadership of the tech pioneer  Cypress Semiconductor in Silicon Valley, started Clos de la Tech 28 years ago with a mission of creating Burgundy-quality red wines by applying cutting-edge science and engineering to centuries-old vineyard and cellar practices.

Valeta Rodgers, winemaker at Clos de la Tech and married to T.J., produces complex and richly extracted Pinot Noirs from nine Dijon clones grown on the mountain vineyards. The wines are then aged for four years in the winery’s caves before their release. 

R & R Wine Marketing, based in San Diego, is an elegant small production company known for its premier knowledge of the industry. It is focused exclusively on markets throughout Southern California.
