St. Helena, CA — February 1st, 2024 – Clif Family Winery and Farm is pleased to announce the promotion of Magnus Young to the position of Executive Chef. Magnus has been an integral part of our culinary team since 2017, contributing his creative approach to cooking and a passion for bringing the produce we grow at the Clif Family Farm into our culinary program.
Magnus’s culinary journey began in his hometown of Calgary, AB, Canada, where he developed a love for cooking under the guidance of his father. From an early age, food has been central to Magnus’s family, and his passion for the culinary arts has only grown stronger over the years. His diverse culinary experiences include working at renowned establishments such as Earls Restaurants, Cibo, The Glass Onion, Sean Brock’s McCrady’s, and Napa Valley’s former Terra Restaurant under the direction of celebrated chef Hiro Sone.
After completing his culinary education at the Culinary Institute of America, Magnus joined Clif Family Winery and Farm, drawn by the unique opportunity to work with our Bruschetteria Food Truck and the abundance of organic produce sourced directly from the Clif Family Farm. His commitment to cooking seasonally and utilizing high-quality ingredients aligned perfectly with Clif Family’s culinary philosophy.

In his new role, Magnus will oversee the culinary program, including the Bruschetteria Food Truck, where he will continue to showcase seasonal dishes crafted with ingredients sourced from the Clif Family Farm and made to pair with Clif Family Wines. His favorite cuisine, anything cooked over wood fire, will undoubtedly bring a unique and flavorful touch to the culinary offerings.

Clif Family’s acclaimed Bruschetteria Food Truck welcomes guests from Wednesday to Sunday, featuring the popular weekly Street Food Napa Valley menus every Wednesday, along with their staple menu showcasing farm-fresh salads, seasonal bruschette, rotisserie chicken, and enticing side dishes. The Clif Family Tasting Room and Enoteca Tasting Salon are open daily, providing seasonal food and wine pairing experiences.
