FEBRUARY EVENTS

PRESSOIR SESSION: CHARTOGNE TAILLET

Wednesday, February 7, 6:00-7:30pm

Alexandre Chartogne took the reins of his family’s Champagne domaine in 2006 and immediately became a name to follow for high quality wines, expertly crafted. Located in the small village of Merfy in the petite Montagne de Reims, Alex, who once worked alongside legendary winemaker Anselme Selosse, is himself a great source of inspiration for other vignerons in the region. His work is simply fascinating, and with about a dozen different Champagne cuvées, Alex manages to produce alluring wines with distinct profiles and real personalities. This session will give you the opportunity to taste some of his rare cuvées accompanied by a detailed presentation of his estate and philosophy.

Once almost abandoned because of its harsh working conditions, the incredibly steep vineyards of Côte Rôtie offer a scenic sight as dramatic and poignant as the wines themselves. Guests will explore the many facets of Côte-Rôtie at this superb dinner featuring wines from the best producers such as the historic Clusel-Roch, Patrick Jasmin and the unforgettable cuvées from Guigal, affectionately known as the Lala’s, back to the 1980’s.
