January 26th – Palisade, COLO – The annual Colorado Winefest Art Contest was held virtually over the past several weeks, allowing both art and Winefest enthusiasts to cast their votes for the top three finalists. Each year, the Colorado Association for Viticulture & Enology (CAVE) invites 2D artists from around Colorado to submit their artwork, vying for the chance to become the official Colorado Winefest Poster Artist. This year’s contest boasted 35 entries from across the state! Contest entries can be viewed online at www.ColoradoWinefest.com until February 4th.
“Wineglass Waltz” by Gail West was chosen to represent the 33rd Annual Colorado Mountain Winefest presented by Fisher’s Liquor Barn. Each year the the winning piece of artwork is selected by the public through online voting. “We had an amazing showing of 35 talented artists from across Colorado for this year’s contest!” said Cassidee Shull, CAVE Executive Director of CAVE. “We look forward to working with Gail and showcasing her outstanding piece in 2024!” The winner was announced on Friday, January 26th, through the CAVE & Colorado Winefest’s social media channels.
Gail West will receive a cash prize of $700.00 and “Wineglass Waltz” will be featured on wine totes, t-shirts, and posters, as well as local and nationwide print and digital marketing. Prints of “Wineglass Waltz” will also be available for purchase online and in the CAVE Office later this spring!
The top winners of this year’s art contest are as follows:

- Second Place: “Colorado Triple Muse” by Wendy Videlock
- Third Place: “Cheers to You” by Sheri Ray
The Winefest Art Contest asks for Colorado-based artists to capture the essence of the state’s wine industry. The contest is open to any Colorado resident and takes place every January.
