Napa, California – January 1, 2024 – Mt. Beautiful USA welcomes its new West Coast Regional Sales Manager Mitchell McSorley, just in time for the new year! Mitchell will oversee Mt Beautiful sales in CA, OR, WA, HI, CO, NV, TX, NM and AZ based out of the new USA home office in Napa Valley.  He will work closely with the National Sales Manager, Caitlin Manning, and regional wholesale representatives.

McSorley brings a passion for fine wine and growing family business to the New Zealand based winery.  In his early career, Mitchell spent time with the California ABC and was a member of the opening team for Total Wine & More in Fresno and California bay area stores. In 2019, he began work with The Estates Group of Young’s Market out of Sacramento, where he was a top performing representative. At the end of 2020, Mitchell transitioned into a supplier role for a Napa winery, building their brand notoriety at California’s top restaurants.

Mitchell achieved Wine level III certificate from Wine and Spirit Education Trust (WSET) and is working towards his Diploma.

“We’re excited to have Mitchell on our team. His sales experience both on and off premise, coupled with an extensive network inside our wholesale partners is attractive to us, as well as high energy and interpersonal skills,” says Robert Watkins, CEO of Mt. Beautiful, Teece Family Vineyards and Farms.

About Mt. Beautiful New Zealand
Beautiful wine comes from a beautiful place. Mt. Beautiful wines are the expression of the wild, rugged and breathtakingly scenic region of North Canterbury. Certified-sustainable and estate-grown, these distinctively restrained wines let the pure terroir shine through. Only eleven kilometers miles from the ocean, the vineyards are protected from harsh sea winds by their benevolent namesake, Mt. Beautiful. World-renowned scholar/entrepreneur and New Zealand native David Teece, spent two years searching for just this spot, where he could pioneer an undiscovered region and fulfill his dream of bringing the best of New Zealand to the world. Mt. Beautiful is the first vineyard of a commercial size to be planted outside of an established New Zealand region in 20 years. In addition to winemaking, Mt. Beautiful operates three farms that produce wool for the Smartwool market, beef for the Japan market and lamb for the U.S. market.
